Hi Guys,

As the subject line reads.

I just sent an email from thunderbird on my PC.

This is not appearing in my sent mail on my phone.

A copy is not being sent to the server.

Also my sent mail on my computer only shows emails sent from my computer!

I need it all to be synchronous and display the same sent mail, on all platforms as my phone does and online icloud account does.

Regards,

Steve

For them to be in sync, both must be setup with IMAP. It appears that you have one or both set up as POP.

My inbox is synced between phone and PC.

But just my sent mail when i email from my PC then refresh sent mail box on my phone those emails are not there.

If you have an IMAP mail account and you Sent an email then it should appear in your 'Sent' folder assuming you are using the server 'Sent' or 'Sent Mail' folder - it might have a different name - but it will be whatever the folder is called on the server as seen when you logon to webmail account..

If you logon to webmail account via a browser - what is the name of the default folder which stores 'Sent' mail called? If you see more than one Sent folder - send an email in the webmail account and note which folder stores the copy.

Then make sure you really do have an imap account in Thunderbird. Right click on imap mail account name folder in Folder Pane and select 'Settings' Select 'Server Settings' What does it say top right ? Server Type: Pop Mail Server or IMAP Mail Server ?

Assuming it says IMAP Mail Server.... Click on 'Copies & Folders' Select 'Place a copy in' Select 'Other' and choose the 'Sent/Sent Mail on email address' - it must be the same one as used on server/webmail account.

Restart Thunderbird.

You should also confirm the phone setup. Send a message from phone and see if it appears on PC. If not, the phone is POP and would be why messages from PC are not appearing.
