My laptop has 16GB RAM and now when I start Thunderbid it usses a lot of ram (over 11GB) and is unresponsive. house glass cursor icon on all the time. I just reied reinstalling but no joy. Was working fine before. The only thing I canged was adding UK dictionary and Language Pack.

Thanks, it was the language pack. Removed it and all is well.

Is memory usage the same in safe/troubleshoot mode (hold Shift when launching TB). Some language packs have issues.
