
Not Responding Error
Why does it seem like every time Thunderbird is updated, the program runs like crap? I get an Not Responding error each time I try to download mail, open mail or move between folders. It takes forever to do anything. Thank you.

I typically find that it is caused by antivirus software.
Which AV software do you run?
And, do you have a gmail account?
I use System Mechanic as my antivirus program and I do have a gmail account.

Still In Windows safe mode, start thunderbird in safe mode - https://support.mozilla.org/kb/safe-mode-thunderbird
Does problem go away?
I switched from System Mechanic antivirus to Windows Defender and the issue went away. Thanks.
