
Junk mail.
I have been unable to get Thunderbird to put Junk in the "Junk" folder. That is annoying me.

Do you have an anti virus that is locking the files (scanning) when new mail is received? We recommend against allowing on access scanning of files in the Thunderbird profile as scanning causes hangs, jerky interface updates, slow loads and simple failure to move mail because the files can't be updated because the scanner is using them as the same time as Thunderbird.
Do you have the option in account settings > junk settings set to move junk mail?

is the junk marked as such? (Little red flame icon)
IS the account IMAP and your mail provider uses a folder other than junk for spam/Junk email? (Perhaps SPAM or some other variant)
It is marked Junk, with the little flame, but my account is POP3, not IMAP.

It fixed it! I did not know you had to set it to be able to move junk to the junk folder. Thanks!
