Thunderbird 78.5.0 update now I cannot download email, never asks for passwords.

I just see a "connecting to..." message forever!

Is this a bug in the update, and if so when will it be fixed? Right now, I cannot download ANY of my emails from my several accounts (personal, professional, hobby, etc.)

Please help soon or I will have to download, configure and migrate to a totally non-Mozilla email client.

Thanks,

Dean

Using ESET? https://forum.eset.com/topic/26517-problems-with-thunderbird-and-imaps/ If that is not a solution, who is your mail provider?

Thank you for your suggestion.

I found the issue to be resolved by closing T-Bird, then deleting three files in ...\Thunderbird\Profiles\01y3783o.default: cert9.db key4.db logins.json

Then re-starting T-bird.

Many thanks to all who posted in response!
