While on Facebook, a Firefox pop up saying "a web page is slowing down activity". If I log out of FB after a few minutes computer speeds up again.

Hey there,

are you using an PC with older/less powerful hardware?

Facebook is loading lots of trackers and especially images and videos when scrolling through the timeline. After some time, this could slow down the machine.

Perhaps, an Adblocker could help you with that (as this would load less resources). I can recommend uBlock Origin.
