Hi Sorry a bit of a newbie but couldn't find answer on FAQ (well not on the first 10 pages anyway). The real need is that I want to be able to figure out the aggregate message size of multiple messages (but thought the subject would give me a more generic solution).

So if the subject is not possible, is there a way to see the aggregate message size of a few selected messages (say on the status bar, or otherwise). so far I seem to only get a message count but no total size in bytes. Thanks S

The size of individual messages can be viewed if the Size column is enabled (right-click any column button and check 'Size'). The size of a folder can be viewed if the Size column is enabled in the Folder Pane Columns (under View/Layout). The size of multiple selected messages is shown in the Message Pane (F8) as 'These messages take up N KB'
