My emails are hosted by Tuffmail, a popular server, but Thunderbird says it can't find them to migrate them . Why?
I'm trying to migrate emails which are all @ civilitas.org, whose server is Tuffmail, to Thunderbird from Windows. But Thunderbird says it can't find them. Don't understand this, and there doesn't seem to be anywhere on the set up screen to tell it to look at Tuffmail

Your personal email address and website are hosted by TuffMail. You would need to ascertain whether you need to ue POP or IMAP. You may need to logon to webmail account and select IMAP/POP option, then use that selected option in Thunderbird.
In Thunderbird 'Menu icon' > 'New Message' > 'Existing mail account'
- Enter Your Name
- Enter full email address
- Enter Password - same one you use to access webmail
- select checkbox to remember password.
- click on 'continue' button
thunderbird attempts to locate configuration settings
- click on 'Manual Config' button
Check you have selected correct type Pop or IMAP check all details for incoming and outgoing server are correct. Username is usually full email address. click on 'Re-test'
