Thunderbird won't start. Error "Side-by-side Configuration is Incorrect", check Sxstrac.exe
My wifes PC has Windows 10 Pro. I have been using Thunderbird for many years without any problems. When MS Upgraded Windows to Version 1803 the access to Thunderbird stopped working. I've tried accessing through short-cut & from MS main menu. I always get the error message below.
C:\Users\barbn\AppData\Roming\Microsoft\InternetExplorer\QuickLaunch\UserPinned\TaskBat\Mozilla\Thunderbird.Link Sise-by-Side Config is Incorrect Command-Line Sxstrac.exe Tool for more detail
I can not access Thunderbird to remove it and re-Install. I manually saved all E-Mails.
My PC does not have any problems so far. I use Thunderbird for 3 different E-Mail UID's . I have the same MS Upgrades.
Edition: Windows 10 Pro Version: 1803 Installed: 5/5/2018 OS Build: 17134.48
Is this a Microsoft problem with the release or can I re-install Thunderbird on her PC & copy saved E-Mails back? Thanks for any Help. Bob Negeli

I don't think reinstalling/removing Thunderbird will help.
The problem is with some other software you have installed on Windows. To prove that, start Windows in safe mode, then start THunderbird
