Thunderbird has suddenly stopped opening the next message in my Inbox when I move or delete a message. How do I reinstate this? Problem also exists in safe mode.

Just to eliminate this option I unchecked the 'Close message window/tab on move or delete' box. Now the next message displays correctly after delete. There was presumably an issue with this processing 52.3.0 causing the same deleted message to continue to appear in the window and this was fixed in 52.4.0. I'm disappointed not to have had any help from the forum though as this problem cost me hours.
