how do I delete an individual email
just changed to Thunderbird and when using the delete option, all emails disappear, when I need to save some, so how do I delete individual spam email and leave others.

The general method is that you select the message(s) you want to delete then delete them.
You can use the del button on your keyboard, a del button on a toolbar, or by right-click and selecting delete from the menu.
Are you doing anything different?
