First a few words about terminology ...

There is no such thing as a 'Thunderbird account'. You've set up an account with an email provider, e.g. Gmail or Yahoo. Then you use Thunderbird to access mail for that account on your email provider's server, as well as to send mail via your email provider's server.

You don't add 'emails' to Thunderbird in any way. You may receive email messages, and you may add email addresses as contacts to your address book. Or you may set up a new account in Thunderbird.

I suppose the latter is what you're trying to achieve.

Press Alt or F10 to restore the menu bar. That will bring up 'File'. For further instructions see https://support.mozilla.org/kb/automatic-account-configuration
