How do I create an icon for a specific program (ex: hotmail) on my desktop ?
I used to be able to create little picture icons on my desktop so I could just press once and would open the internet and then the specific program (ex: hotmail) instead of 1st opening Firefox and then selecting the item? Now I can't do that and all the old icons don't work.

In order to log on to an internet I must first log on to Firefox(one cursor move) and then log on to the program I desire(ex: Hotmail)(second cursor move). I used to have icons which I created on my desktop which would take me directly to the program (one cursor move). Apparently my Firefox got "upgraded" and my old icons don't work and I don't seem to be able to create new ones. Did I loose something? PS- I am not much of a computer wonk.
Are you using a batch file to do this? Open that file in an editor, and confirm the links being used.
Make sure that Firefox is set correctly as the default browser.
