Thunderbird on multiple computers, but each email only downloads on a single computer
I have thunderbird set up to download from my gmail account on both my laptop and my desktop via POP. However, I do not have a complete copy of my inbox on either computer. For instance, I am missing 3 days of emails on my laptop since it was off, and pressing get mail does not fill in that gap. How do I fix this so I get complete copies on both devices?

The standard with POP is to download the message to your computer and remove it from the server. This leaves nothing for your other devices to download. The best solution is to use IMAP instead of POP when check mail from multiple devices. You can tell Thunderbird to leave the messages on the server when using pop but then you have to go clean up the server periodically or it fills up.
