I had two profiles configured and upgrade to the latest thunderbird and now both are gone along with all my emails. How do I add them back?

So apparently my profiles.ini got wiped out after the upgrade. I edited it to add my old profiles and it worked fine. I will leave this post inc case anyone else has the problem.
