Unable to locate my bookmarks after dowloading Firefox 38
I have been out of US for the past four months and had access to Firefox from my laptop and upgraded to Firefox 38 without any issues. However, I am now back home and attempted to operate my Desktop and tried to open Firefox and clicked on Upgrade to Firefox 38. After downloading Firefox 38 I noticed the Bookmarks were no longer there. After trying several methods which I have used in the past nothing seems to be working. I need my Bookmarks, please acknowledge and advise corrective action.
Awaiting your prompt reply.

Hi Vern, could you check whether Firefox ran the Refresh feature during your update? The telltale sign is a folder on your desktop named Old Firefox Data, with one or more semi-randomly-named folders inside. Can you find anything like that?
If yes: we could try to use one of the bookmark backup files in that folder to restore your bookmarks.
If no: would it be useful to copy the bookmarks from your laptop to your desktop?
Details to follow depending on what you find.
