Why does thunderbird stop responding when I try to attach something?
Periodically when I try to attach something to an email (happens when I click on the attach button not the item) the program goes to "not responding". I have downloaded again and restarted my machine without fixing the problem.

What is your anti-virus software?
Mcafee....but that is what I have been using and there hasn't been a problem. I have downloaded a new copy of Firebird and tried a restart. No change.
Another thing that I forgot to mention. Since this was acting up and I was having to dump the program and lose what I had written in an email I did a copy before trying to attach again. The copy did not work.

Yea, like McAfee never changes or upgrades their software.
