Mozilla works with advertising partners to place sponsored shortcuts and Sponsored stories on the new tab page. These are always clearly marked and you have control over whether they are shown on your new tab. Privacy is fundamental to Mozilla’s mission, and we only work with advertising partners that meet our privacy standards for Firefox. __TOC__ =Sponsored Shortcuts= Sponsored shortcuts is a feature available in specific regions, including the U.S., Canada, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, the UK, Brazil, Mexico, Australia, India, and Japan; other locations will be added over time. Mozilla is paid when users click on sponsored shortcuts. ==What data is shared?== When you view or click on a sponsored shortcut, Firefox sends [https://www.mozilla.org/privacy/firefox/#recommend-relevant-content anonymized technical data] to our partners through a Mozilla-owned proxy service.
