Basically If i search for a term in the address bar such as "Cheese" and press enter. Then it'll hang for awhile, and not do anything. But If I press enter again, it'll show the google page result for cheese.

Just wondering if anyone else has this issue, because chrome doesn't do this.

Please enable the ability to use the "Dark Reader" add-on on this site or let us change it in the settings. Horrible experience in light mode. On the added image you can see that the "Dark Reader" add-on is enabled.

I am Member of a motorcyle forum which allows You Tube videos to be embedded in Forum posts.

When I try to view a video, the initial video Thumbnail can be seen, but clicking the screen to play the video just results in the "spinning wheel" and the video never starts to play.

If I click "Watch on You Tube", a new Firefox browser tab opens and the video plays on the You Tube web site without any issues.

If I use a different Browser such as Chrome to view the Forum web site, I can click on the embedded video and it wil play within the Forum web site.

As an example, there's a 6 second video clip here :

Hello. For a couple of months now I can't seem to be able to reproduce some videos on YouTube (depends on their format) and no videos at all on Facebook, for example. I have the same issue on both regular and dev versions. I tried many solutions from the forums but no success so far.

My OS is Linux Ubuntu 20.04. Browser and video drivers all up to date.

Hello everyone. The calendar add on at the side of my Gmail account does not open after the latest Firefox update (116.0.1), but it does work in troubleshoot mode. Could you please advise? Thank you.

I went to about:config and set my privacy.globalprivacycontrol values to all True. Yet, when I go https://globalprivacycontrol.org/, the website states that the GPC signal is not detected. Is any other action required? I am using Firefox v16.0.2 on a Mac computer running Ventura 13.5.

The below live thread has always, since the start of its creation back at the outbreak of the war (so Feb/Mar 2022 time-frame) loaded slow and continues to load slow in FF (all version since then until now) and it loads a lot faster in Chromium based browsers. I've never personally dug into the page loading, but some aspects of how it renders embedded tweets seem super slow, and that's nothing to do with any changes Elon has made recently to Twitter/X... like I said, it been happening since Feb/Mar 2022 when the live thread was first created.

I just think that live thread is a great test case on where Firefox can measure and maybe improve some page load and render times.

As you can see from the screenshot I don't have the new tab button (+), I've seen other users had the same problem in the past and the solution was restoring it from the customization page, but I can't find it there neither.

I recently had a catastrophic issue with my computer and had to do a factory reset. I was removing my dead name from my folder structure and profile on my machine, and this caused it to bork...I know even my silicon hardware is transphobic *sigh*. I know there are articles talking about this issue, and I know for security and privacy your policy is that all bookmarks are lost with a password reset.

However, these bookmarks are very very invaluable, and contain so much information regarding my transition, my career, etc. I just really would love to try and find a way to recover these if at all possible. I know you and your team make recovery possible in an slew of ways, and I really don't know if I set any of those up. I thought I might of, but I am still picking up the pieces from this reset. I know I should have been more proactive about recovery and really thought I was, and I am really kicking myself for not being more explicit/diligent.

I am happy to go through any verification process. I know you have policies for a reason, but I can't just give up on so much important information. There is a years worth of memories during a time, where memories and identity are shifting. I am literally begging to not lose this data.

I have Firefox Sync enabled in my Firefox browser on a few computers. When I logged in to Firefox Sync initially, it did sync-up my new computer with all of the saved bookmarks and history. I am not sure if any of my logins were saved). When I go to websites and login, I am prompted with the dialog to save my credentials, and I say ok, save. But the logins are not remembered. And in my about:logins page shows "no logins found". I don't care about retrieving any old logins, I just want to be able to save new ones and get the default behavior of saving logins working again.

My M-1 MacBook Pro has been running warm since I installed Firefox 116.0.3 (64-bit).

EtreCheck Pro reports that "plug-in container.app" is a runaway process.

When I show package contents for Firefox, I can see "plug-in container.app" in the MacOS folder.

Will there be an update soon to correct this problem? Firefox is my primary browser. I work in the SaaS industry and have to run a browser 24/7.

I am in the United States. My machine is on Windows 22H2 (OS Build) 19045.3208. My version of FFox is 116.0 (64-bit).

My firefox was getting very booged down after months of usage and I complete uninstalled and reinstalled, and now Recommend by Pocket does not show up either on my Home Page, or as an option to add it.

Googling around, the two most common fixes I have seen is to fix this are:

1) Click the Personalize button in the upper right corner of the new tab page and toggle Recommended by Pocket to on, but the option does not appear there. See attached screenshot. 2) Type about:config in address bar, then browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.feeds.section.topstories, and set to true. This was already in effect. See attached screenshot.

Anything else I can try to enable it? I really like it and I miss it.

My Firefox Desktop browser is showing the mobile versions of some websites.

In another thread, it is suggested to clear cookies to fix this which I did and it does fix it first but it comes back to mobile version again.

I have browsed those websites on Microfot Edge and it displays them as normal with no issues.

My Mac (desktop) crashed and after that, my bookmarks disappeared. I redownloaded Firefox and logged in, but I could not find my bookmarks. So I tried to rebuild my bookmark toolbar but realized all the websites were already bookmarked (each bookmark star was blue).

Just to experiment, I opened Firefox from the external location (that is used for external hard drives, etc.) WITHOUT DOWNLOADING to the Applications on my Mac. Then I could fully see my bookmarks.

This is good but I have to open Firefox on the external location every time I restart my Mac or change the user.

How can I access my bookmarks in the downloaded Firefox as normal?

This is a many years old account/install with Netscape/Firefox, now 116.0.1, 64-bit Windows.

When offered a box for email step 1 login -- this site, for example -- FF auto fill offers my correct address first, but then there are two offered below that in the auto fill offers that are not mine.

How can I access where those are stored and remove those erroneous or mal email addresses?

Searching here infers the Profile; yes, my first guess, but my Profile is 725 MB ... so any hints available?
