I installed firefox on a new pc and after loggin in and syncing my account all my pinned sites on the firefox homepage disappeared. Is there any way i can get them back?

After the latest Firefox update (121.0.1) , I have been unable to use Firefox to log into iCloud or my Merrill Lynch account. I have to use Chrome instead. Other website log-ins seem to be ok.

Hello, I just noticed that at the top of my settings menu there was a flag saying that I was not logged in to Firefox. I clicked the link and logged in. Bam, all my settings disappeared! I have special colours and fonts because I am partially sighted. It is now very difficult for me to use my browser. How can I get my settings back, please?

How do I get rid of the automatic login options. I never saved the password. I just want to get rid of the options for the login field. There are too many, some don't apply. I have read everything and tried to clear my logins in the settings option, but the field is grayed out and I cannot select it.

This might just be a blind thing, I use the NVDA screen reader, but when I sign in to firefox, my password is 12 letters long, but when I look on my settings page, it's 18 characters long, is this normal?

I can log in using my 12 letter password and it's not a master password, I don't have one of those.

Any help would be apreciated.

One website in particular is almost 100% black. I cannot see most text. On another site, I cannot see check boxes, can't see the trash can icon.

This just happened recently. When I switch to Light Mode in the settings, both sites remain dark.

What settings can I change so everything on a site is visible?

My add-on and default profile have disappeared after I entered safe mode. The browser window restarted with a new interface with different settings and all my add-ons were gone. There reason why I tried out safe-mode was to restore my open tabs which were lost after firefox updates but still showing in history without the possibility to restore them. Currently, I have three profiles in about:profiles but non of them contains my add-ons data. They all appeared as if I am opening the browser for the first time. Inside the profiles file explore, there are 5 newly created profiles see attached screenshots.

Things I did, Cleared cache, refreshed the profiles and restart the browser nothing works.

What is going on. :(. This sucks. I had special add-ons which contained my valuable settings and now they are all gone.

I attached a screenshot of what appears whenever I click anywhere around any text. It acts like it's a place that I could type. Obviously not something that breaks the app, but incredibly annoying. Also only happens on Firefox.

What would I have to do to get this to stop? It surely can't be an intended interaction.

I updated to the latest version of firefox and am not pleased with the translation tool automatically detecting the wrong language on sites. Is there any way to fully disable it? I currently have no languages installed yet it pops up offering to "translate".

If I Open normal window (not private) then click menubar/3 bar menu (upper right side) and click 'new private window' and then close normal window, it also closed my private window. v121.00

I set up a new installation of Firefox on a different computer and sync'd my account to it. This resulted in losing all of the multi-account container settings on my primary computer. Is there a way to restore these settings? I do have another computer that I have not used since syncing the new one, if that helps.

What could I have done differently to avoid this (possibly on my new device)? Thanks

Hi, I have a macbook air using the sonoma os 14.2.1 with firefox 121.0 installed.

I searched sites within firefox then pinned them. When I closed firefox then turned off the mac then restarted it again then calked up firefox from the dock, all the pins were gone. I have firefox settings set to remember open tabs.

How can I keep the pinned tabs after restarting the macbook?

I recently purchased a VPN for my laptop. I bought a designated IP address set to Toronto, Canada. However, Firefox shows my location in Japan.

In my communications with VPN server they believe since whatsmyipaddress shows me where my VPN says it should, but FF shows me in Japan, the problem may be a leak at your end. When I created this account today and set my country to Canada (as suggested by PIA), closed everything and rebooted my computer I had hoped to see Canada (en) when I began a search. However, it still shows Japan.

I value my privacy on all devices and turning off location is the first thing I do. I'm now wondering if FF is getting this location from Windows.

I am already logged into my main account, when I click on my profile picture in the top right in order to add accounts/sign into other gmail accounts, I get this error:

"403. That’s an error.

We're sorry, but you do not have access to this page. That’s all we know."

I tried clearing cookies and no help.

Bare in mind this is on a fresh firefox install on a new desktop, I have been using firefox on my other desktop with no gmail issues like this.

I have a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 6 (20XY005MGE) with Win11 Pro.

All of a sudden, Firefox does not play any sound. I notice that it does not show up in the volume mixer. I tried:

• Uninstall and reinstall Firefox
• Deactivate all Extensions
• I worked my way through the manual pages (none of which mentions Firefox missing in the volume mixer)

Youtube does not play sounds, the Spotify page notices that it cannot play sound (the spotify App for Windows works fine, though). News sites (tagesschau.de / video, deutschlandfunk.de / audio) play the video, but no sound.

I had the problem a few months ago already but I cannot recall the solution :(

I have freshly install Manjaro system. On there I installed the Flatpak of Firefox. When I try to login into my Mozilla account for sync it doesn't load. See the screenshot. On my other computer it works without an issue. What can I try?

Steps to reproduce:

1. Have Google as the default search engine.

2. Type a search string into the address bar.

3. The address bar briefly shows a URL for the Google Search results.

4. The address bar is very quickly overwritten with the original search string.

How do I stop step #4 happening? I want the URL to remain in the address bar, for example to be able to give somebody a link which executes the google search.

I think this is new in FF121.

When I open the Microsoft Teams URL in Firefox (https://teams.microsoft.com) it always goes to the login screen for a former employer. When I open the URL in Chrome or Edge it goes to the generic Teams site where I can participate as a guest. I am reasonably confident the connection is residue from when I used Firefox to participate in Teams meetings as an employee, but the connection is preventing me from participating in Teams meetings with potential new employers. I've deleted cookies for both the employer and the third-party two-factor authentication tool (OKTA), but I can't seem to kill it. The reason I think this is a Firefox issue rather than a Microsoft issue is that I never used Teams with Chrome or Edge and they do not have this spurious connection. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I have Windows 10 Pro 22H2 19045.3803. I am running two monitors. When I have many Firefox browsers open on both screens, reboot and restore previous session, the browsers all open in what ever monitor the initial browser was opened on. I haven't tried it with other browsers. All other applications open in whichever monitor they were in on reboot.

My Firefox account and associated passwords were left open on another notebook. I have now changed my Firefox sync login password from a different PC and signed out of other devices. Can a user on the previous PC sign in with a password that is saved in Firefox?
