This morning, I was unable to log into Discord to watch a livestream because my hard drive was overfull and it was unable to install a mandatory update. Because this was a time sensitive issue, I wiped a bunch of crap off my drive as fast as I could, and I guess somehow I deleted my browser bookmarks because the field now shows as empty when I open Firefox. I was able to track down the backup file, but it throws an error when I tell it to restore. Is there anything I can do about this?

It didn't, not always. Over the years, there have been times when the issue would still pop up, but not as often as before (2022 and earlier).

I have a feeling that during an issue, FF is having difficulty setting up shop after starting up. Consequently, it is spending more time before it could become prepared to connect to the Net. I've come up with another "solution," which is deleting (or moving out) xulstore.json in the profile folder after exiting or before starting FF. You can create a batch command or script to execute the process.

So far, FF is connecting immediately after startup.

hello ppl i hope u guys doing good look in some sites firefox is not playing any sound no audio like on facebook reels or watching a vedio there i cant hear anything and some sites also when i watch vedio i cant hear any sound but in other browser everything work perfect but i like to use firefox its audio prblm and pls know thats the prblm is not from my windows i have windows 10 everything work fine pls help me fix this thx.

During my absence my house maid created a Google account for herself on my Firefox browser, which is confusing my browsing as it is also a default account. I wish to remove my maid's account but cannot find how. Please help. I am using Windows 10.

Why is Firefox suddenly not remembering any of my logins or passwords? When I go into Preferences > Security, the box to "remember logins and passwords for websites" is checked. When I click on saved passwords they all are there. The do you want to save box is there if I have changed a login, or added a new web site. I am not in private browsing mode. The problem seems to happen every time I install the latest Firefox update, or Windows 10 Pro updates. Some of my apps want to know if I am using a new device.

What happened to "recent bookmarks"??? I is no longer available....why???? I need it back, as I used it all the time and my bookmarks were very easy to locate. Now I have no idea where a bookmark is, that was even bookmarked an hour ago.

In the last couple of days I've been unable to login to my virginmedia accounts using firefox, all other browers work fine, I can enter details no trouble but as soon as I press the blue button on their page nothing happens, cleared cookies and data for virgin but didnt help.

Fix the problem ! If I set up a set of bookmarks and web sites to be opened on startup of Firefox, then use them and save that list forever until I change it.

That is how you product worked until this week. Now, it sucks. And why does the header say that my options are controlled by my organization ? This is my private computer, belongs to me, not any organization !

I'm trying to configure my router and the instructions tell me to go to https://192.168.1.1. But the security settings will not allow me to get to that (local network) IP address, and ther.is no option to bypass the warning

I have two PCs, both running the same versions of Firefox for years. A little over a year ago, after an update, a new "Private" icon appeared in my taskbar in addition to the normal Firefox icon on one of my machines, but not the other one. This presented, and functioned as two different, independent browser applications; I could just click on the private browser icon to open the private browser without opening the "regular" Firefox. I don't know where this came from, but I like it... but it never changed on my other PC, and I can't find how to apply it; is there a setting or something I'm missing? Why did it happen automatically on one machine, but not the other?

Dear Mozilla

Long time user (love it) but the browser is consuming a lot of memory. With the same windows open in Chrome, Firefox is consuming 5 times the amount making the system slower glitchy.

This has been an issue for awhile and I checked all the posted solutions. Either the software is consuming an that is normal or something is running in the background. Firefox is at 1831.5 MB as I type this.

Can I uninstall then reinstall? or is everything going to return?

I changed my PC. Then i installed Firefox my new PC and login Firefox account. But my old PC's Firefox account all data will de deleted history passwords etc. It was looks like a new account. How can i restore my old data. My old PC was already formatted.

Firefox not responding to general websites on the web (Ex: Amazon.com, etc.). I have several Mozilla-recommended security extensions that may be working against my firefox connecting to these general-in-nature websites.
