I just uninstalled firefox for personal use at home (Still use it for work).

I tried to change now given chromium is about to be neutered with ad blockers etc.

This was my feedback - Extremely disappointed and non-functional profile option/s. Wanted to provide feedback that hopefully someone sees, as there is going to be a mass migration to FF soon and if they do NOT fix the below, people will give up fast.

about:profiles is completely useless, because once you sign in with the same firefox account again, it just syncs to the same profile.

Firefox MUST have multiple profile support under 1 login, not combine them. The thought of having to sign up a completely separate second account/email for a second Firefox 'account' with a second 'mfa' token just to separate personal and work is ludicrous.

I want to sign in, pick my profile as personal / work and then it syncs my diff favourites, plugins etc. per profile for work or personal depending where I am, NOT SHARE them all on 1 login. This is not possible and a huge disappointment considering these features are considered basic in other browsers."

Until firefox does this, it is unusable for multi work/private profiles and signing up a second Firefox account is just silly.

Hello! My name is Anya. I am desperately trying to manage my social media addiction and to help support that I am wondering if its possible to disable the privacy window. I know I can install a website blocker - which I have, but it does not apply to the private window so I have full access to social media on it, I just have to log in. I want to COMPLETELY block Facebook and Instagram off of my laptop. Is this possible? Thank you!

I would like to force spellcheck for all websites, and override any HTML code from the websites. which may be disabling it. This should be done automatically and not by inspecting and manually altering the HTML. I consulted with ChatGPT and tried adding some code to my existing userChrome.css but it is having no effect, even after clearing cache and restarting Firefox. For instance, faxzero.com has a form with spellcheck disabled. I tinkered with the CSS and kept testing faxzero, but the spellcheck always remains disabled. How can I accomplish my goal?

When you go into 'Manage Bookmarks' and click on 'Import/Backup Bookmarks' is there a way to clear out the list of files listed when you hover over 'Restore ->' which brings up the list of recent bookmark files that you have restored?

Hello, I've chatted with the creators of the add on "Twitter X Ad Blocker" and asked why it isn't working any more. They told me they have an update made and ready but you have not approved it yet. What will it take to get you to approve the update so this will work again?

Some of my add-on shortcuts have disappeared from the toolbar. I have tried all of the suggestions on your help site. If I go to the add-ons page, it says they are still there, but they don't show up in my browser.

I am curious as to why Mozilla/Firefox doesn't seem interested in matching Chrome for addons for popular dropshipping apps such as CJDropshipping, DSers and AutoDS. These are well catered for in Chrome and allow easy import of products into stores such as Shopify. They save a lot of time for already busy store owners and staff yet Firefox loyalists are forced to switch over and use Chrome to make life easier and save time. For someone who has been using Firefox across both Linux and Windows since it's 2004 launch, it is galling and almost physically debillitating to have to resort to this each time. If I were any good at coding I would surely fix this serious shortcomming.

Please Mozilla look to this and provide us with better options.

I installed the Facebook Container some time ago. But recently realized that Facebook is tracking me, because I'm getting targeted adds on FB. I have also had Firefox set to always use Private Browsing. Today I discovered that the Facebook Container dose not work in Private Browsing. SO, What is the best way to keep FB and others out of my business (short of not using FB)? All this time I thought I was protecting myself and I have not been. HELP!

I would like to customize my New Tab page to show only the icons (shortcuts) I specify; I think it would help if I could change the size of the icons so fewer show, but I cannot find any setting to change the way the page looks. This is a new problem since I got a new computer with Windows 11. In Windows 10 and earlier Firefox versions, I could have only a handful of shortcuts that I wanted and it did not automatically add recently visited sites (I have not selected that option in the settings). I do not want to dismiss or delete shortcuts individually, but want a permanent solution.

When I restarted my PC and opened Firefox only 1 tab Open previous windows and tabs. All the other 6 disappeared. I opened 3 additional tabs, closed Firefox, and reopened Firefox and only the one same tab was there from the previous session. Why does the feature not work properly?

Firefox 126 has changed the tabbar tab background handling and I cannot find a way to get my graphical tab background back for the selected tab. The left image shows FF 125.3; the left 126.0, which installed itself yesterday. In the userchrome for the old Firefox I have:

[I am making this post using the older version of Firefox. If I get some suggestions I'll reinstall the newer version (actually turn auto update back on) and try them out. Thanks.]

I have a program that continuously monitors the download folder under Windows 11 for a specific file and retrieves it. I download this file in Firefox, but the said program gives an error.

I have noticed that when files are downloaded in FireFox, they already appear in the Downloads folder with the corresponding file extension with 0 bytes and these are then apparently swapped or merged with the .parts file.

The problem is that the mentioned program now tries to retrieve the unfinished file, which then leads to an error.

Does anyone know if it is possible to customize Firefox so that the file only appears in the download folder when the download is fully complete?

After the latest update (Monday) my Lastpass extension icon disappeared from the extension toolbar. It was still listed in the Add-ons and themes page. How do I get it visible again? I've tried to right click the Lasspass icon but "pin it" does not appear. I've deleted the extension, rebooted and reinstalled with no difference.

Hello, all the sudden, news site comments don't show and after research here I learned it might be enhanced protection tracking settings. I tried all the settings and nothing seems to work well (not tech savvy). Strict = user comments blocked and all the other settings allow so many ads they cover content and/or there are a hundred on a page. On a desktop. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have search and have seen screen shots. But not actually how to do it. In firefox the Application Menu "the three lines or the Hamburger." How do you move it to the Left side of the screen instead on the default location on the top right. Also please correct me if this is not possible. And thank you in advance. I am on the latest version and currently using windows 10.

whenever i close a single open tab, firefox closes and i have to reopen it to my home page. In the past i could actually revert back to my home page after closing tabs. And then can only close down firefox by hitting the top right X. Unfortunately i have forgotten what i did last time, so any help would be appreciated Ta Doug G
