When I go into the options menu, and select applications, there should be a list of items and what program is responsible for handling it. Instead, it's empty. It's on my company Windows XP machine, so my company could be restricting Firefox's access to it, but I'm not sure. I want to change Firefox's ability to handle PDFs, but with this list being empty, that's impossible.

Is there any application installed on that computer that is associated with .pdf files? In order to see any applications in the settings in Options, the applications must be there and associated in the first place.
