Running 3.6.3. I downloaded 12.2 but when I go to open I get an error message that says I am not running the current version.

From your System info aside you are running Firefox 3,6 not Firefox 12.
It would see either you did not upgrade or the User Agent has been changed. What ar you actually running ?
