Beginning March 1, 2012, I would go to YouTube click on a video & within 3-4 seconds Firefox would crash. This has continued non-stop for a week now. Prior to March 1, 2012 I rarely had this problem, I was able to watch videos easily, for hours. I've also noticed that Firefox crashes when I try to download (any) files, again, I rarely had this problem prior to March 1, 2012. This has now happened dozens and dozens of times since March 1st. (Please help!!) Please: don't inform me I need to upgrade my software or hardware, I have no money, I cannot afford upgrading. Please fix this crash problem as soon as possable. sincerely C. Folk (PS: the crash ID: link below is the latest)

Hey camfolk,

Have you tried starting Firefox in Safe Mode? Hold down "shift" while Firefox is starting up. If the crash doesn't happen in Safe Mode, you should read Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems.

There is also a lot of useful stuff in the Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly) Knowledge Base article. If you've recently upgraded, you might want to check out this article as well.

Hopefully this helps!

Here is the crash report from the Crash ID you posted in "more system details", in case it gives you any clues:

I was going to suggest checking to make sure that QuickTime isn't set to handle Flash Media in the QuickTime System Preferences if you have an old version of QuickTime (previous to 7.3) Ref:

.... but that doesn't account for the crashes while downloading or why the problem began March 1 . Do you remember adding, removing, or updating any software around that time?
