I have attempted to upgradeFirefox each time a new veresion is released. I follow the instruction closely to ensure I am doing the correct sequence. After I restart Firefox upgrade the about Mozilla indicates that I have the latest version installed. However after a shutdown I find that I still have Ver 3.6.25 installed. What is the problem and how can I get the program to upgrade????

Hey Greyhairedbloke43,

You might just want to try installing a fresh copy of the latest version of Firefox. I would look at the Knowledge Base article Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles first. That way you'll have a backup of all your bookmarks and person information.

Then you should completely uninstall Firefox and then download a new copy from:

http://www.mozilla.org/firefox/new/
