I update Firefox this morning and the update was successful. I waned to update a wiki page on my work wiki server running Confluence 3.5 and the edit would bring up an empty edit box without any content. If I hit cancel, my page would appear. I switched to IE 8 and my co-worker used Chrome and those browsers were able to edit the page.

Help please.

Currently, Confluence lists support for Firefox 3.5 and 3.6.

An update request has been submitted: #CONF-22757 Add support for Firefox 5 in Confluence and in the Firefox Add-On for the Office Connector - Atlassian JIRA.

In the meantime, you could use IE8 or the portable version of Firefox 3.6.18 to do your work in the wiki.

Thanks for the info jscher2000.

I am running windows xp-pro 32 bit with Firefox 5.0. However, a colleague from work is running windows 7 64-bit w/ Firefox 5.0 and did not see the same problems w/ Confluence 3.5.

Anyone else can confirm that configuration does work?

Hopefully some other Confluence users will read this thread and comment.

Meanwhile, when you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.

1. Clear Firefox's Cache

orange Firefox button or Tools menu > Options > Advanced

On the Network mini-tab > Offline Storage : "Clear Now"

2. If needed, delete the site's cookies here

While viewing a page on the site, right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"

Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

I cleared the cache and deleted the cookies but result is the same. An empty edit frame will appear when I tried to edit the page.

I have users that say FF 6 will brings up empty Edit page for Confluence version 3.4.9 yet it seems to work with Mac 10.6.8.
