After opening the .dmg file, the Firefox icon has a "no entry" (circle enclosing a diagonal line) sign over it. Why?

Having twice downloaded FF4 and opened the .dmg file (trashing the previous one each time), the FF icon has a circle enclosing a diagonal line superimposed over it. Presumably telling me not to move it to the application folder. I have quit FF 3.6.16 before opening the .dmg folder on each occasion.

For older Macs that aren't supported in Firefox 4.0, try TenFourFox for PowerPC's running Mac 10.4.11 & 10.5.8 .

Well that's great. It would have been helpful to have had the system requirements in an obvious place which would have saved me and others wasting so much time. But I guess that's too simple.

It's good to know that those thousands of us who have large expensive PowerMacs are now not being catered for by Mozilla. Thanks guys, been nice knowing you but guess I'll go find another browser. Do you honestly think I'm going to trash my machine and spend £2.5k on another one just because you think it's not viable any more? Get back to the real world.
