Whenever I open Firefox, an array of 33 strange icons appear on my desktop. What is the problem?
These icons include "cache," "extensions," "minidumps," ".autoreg," "cert 8," and "XUL.mfl." I have tried uninstalling and installing Firefox, deleting the icons, restarting my computer, and clearing all history and cookies, but the icons still appear.

You have the Firefox profile folder (location where Firefox stores user data) set to the desktop. See the following link for how to resolve this issue, you need to follow the instructions very carefully or you can end up deleting files that you want to keep.
