Firefox will not load after restart

I'm running OSX on an intel Mac. I'm currently using Tiger.

Strangest thing is going on. When I restart or simply startup after a shutdown. Firefox will not load. However if I wait for 3 or 4 hours after the computer has booted up, Firefox will start as quick as I click on the icon.

So if I ever shutdown, I'm forced to use another browser for 3 or 4 hours and without fail firefox will start right up after it refuses after the initial startup.

I've even totally reinstalled firefox with no success. What could possibly be going on that in 3 or 4 hours, the problem is no longer an issue?
