Can't Run FF installation program after downloading
I have a new 64-bit Windows workstation made by HP. Since I got it, I have been using the Vivaldi browser because it has better features than FF -- but it is turning out to be too buggy.
Twice now I have downloaded the FireFox installation program. I then browse to the directory and try to Run it, but nothing happens -- nothing at all, no error messages or anything. If I can't run the installation program, how can I install FireFox? (I used FireFox for years on my old computer running Windows 7.)
Now, I am also using Thunderbird on this new computer, and to make it work, I had to copy over a directory from my old computer (but I've forgotten what it was named). Could that be screwing up the installation of FireFox?

See How to install Firefox on Windows. That article explains how to download and install Firefox with the online (stub) installer.
If you are unable to run the "Firefox Installer" file, you can try running the full, offline "Firefox Setup" file, which is available for download here: https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release
Thank you. I'll try your directions later today.
