Google Drive folder clicking will not open the folder

Hi, I bought a new desktop PC with Windows 10 Home. Before I used Google Drive on a laptop with Windows 10 home without any issue or problem using Firefox.

After migration to the Desktop I wanted to take a look at information provided by my club of volunteers on Google Drive after logging in with my account. No problem so far, but double clicking on a folder does not open that folder! Only about 5 to 6 times fast clicking opens the folder.

Any solution for this problem? (Re-installed Firefox but that did not change anything; unfortunately logging in with Edge as well as logging in with Chrome solves this problem...Nevertheless I am an Mozilla adept and do not want to switch to e.g. Edge.)

If you are using a mouse device, have you tried:

•clean the mouse •unplug the device and plug it back in •update device drivers •verify mouse sensitivity settings: 

 >Windows key
 >Settings
 >Devices
 >Mouse
 >Additional mouse options
 >Buttons
 >Double-click speed
