After the latest Firefox update was automatically carried out, I found that my access to my e'mail on a web based site is being prevented. I enter my normal name and password, I can see communication links taking place in the bottom left hand corner of my web page but then nothing happens, my entry web page does not go to the e'mail account web page.

I have tried changing the proxy contol to both "None" and "Automatically controlled by Firefox" but that has no effect. I am not using, nor is there any Proxy involved. I have also checked the firewall and that is open for my e'mail site.

The e'mail access was fine untill this update was installed.

What do I need to do?

Many thanks for any help.

Hi mrpdickens , Most email providers offer a web service that allows users to log into their account using a web browser such as Firefox to send and receive email. The questions about the functionality, capabilities, or interface of your webmail service may not be specific to the web browser you are using. Your webmail provider is likely to provide a support section on your website that answers the most frequently asked questions, and offers a feedback method to report technical problems. "I recommend the cleaning function" Firefox saves all your personal data and Firefox settings in your profile folder. The cleaning feature creates a new profile folder and saves your most important data. The cleaning feature removes add-ons that are commonly stored in the Firefox profile folder (such as extensions and themes). Supplements stored in other locations are not removed (although all modified settings are reset).
