Is this a link inside the body area of the email message, presumably inserted by the sender? It could be because some of their readers weren't seeing the email in its full glory because their email program either blocked some items or who knows.
If it is outside the message body, in the message header, are you using the stand-alone Outlook application that comes with Microsoft Office, or are you reading your mail on the web in Firefox?
