Hi, I have two questions 1. I use Linux Debian. I had to reinstall Firefox, but I'm not sure where to extract the file to. I've been using my downloads folder, but when I shutdown it wont start again and I have to reinstall. 2. This message appears often ( libavcodec may be vulnerable or is not supported and should be updated to play video) but I don't know where to find an update. Thanks

You can extract the tar.bz2 archive in any folder you like. If you use a folder in your home directory (e.g. ~/firefox/firefox) then you can update as a normal user. If you install in a location like "/usr/opt/" then you need root permission (sudo) to be able to update Firefox.
