I'm unable to print, or use print preview in Firefox, but can from other browsers. Here is a list of the actions I've taken in an attempt to resolve the issue:

  • Using other printers, and printing to pdf. Works in other applications but not from Firefox.
  • I ran through the printing troubleshooting document mozilla created, doing each of the fix actions suggested by the document but that didn't help either.
  • I opened the prefs.js file inside the profile folder and made the modifications suggested in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1110000
  • Opened Firefox in safe mode; still doesn't work
  • Uninstalled Firefox, went into the user/Appdata/roaming folder and removed all data, reinstalled Firefox and verified it was running the newest version, but that didn't work either.

I'm at a loss as to what to do next. I've got the person using a different browser for printing for the time being but would like to be able to get them back on Firefox, or at least have it as an option for them. Since printing is working for every other application it's not an issue with them or the printer, so there's got to be something going on with the Firefox data on the user's computer.

I'm a little concerned that uninstalling and reinstalling it didn't help though. It did change the error's behavior though. Initially, there was no pop-up for an error, it just showed a little window that appeared to indicate it was sending data to the printer but would then close as if it completed successfully, with no errors, but nothing printed and the printer never acknowledged receiving anything.

Does anyone have any ideas where to go from there?

Try : http://kb.mozillazine.org/Problems_printing_web_pages and https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/fix-printing-problems-firefox You may have corrupt printer drivers and need to reinstall. Go to manufactures website and down load from there.

Please note Microsoft can and will change hardware drivers on Win 10 if so chooses. https://www.howtogeek.com/302595/how-to-stop-windows-10-from-automatically-updating-hardware-drivers/

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

I ran through the suggested options, but none of them helped. I think I may have found a fix action (going into about:config and toggling print.print_via_parent) but I'm not sure that works for each of the affected user. I'm concerned about using that as a fix action though since it destroys standardization for our devices.
