Just reinstalled FF to v52.2.1 on Vista desktop machine, as I was suddenly having big browser problems. These have not gone away after reinstall. Specifically, I go to FF opening page (Google for me), type in a search for (e.g) a company, say Virgin Media; Google shows a page of top hits: I choose one, say VM home page. This will open immediately. After that - nothing - for example, click for 'status' or 'email' or any clickable area and a new tab will open with a spinning 'busy' windows rotary icon. This will continue indefinitely. Same thing happens on much-used bookmarked pages which up until now, have been used on a daily basis, e.g. my bank, where the home page accepts my login-in, then does not move forward to next 'security questions' page. In essence, I am locked out. Weirder still - opening some other sites e.g Daily Mail, works ok with multiple click through pages of current news, whereas The Independent will not even open its home page at all.
