I have used firefox as webbrowser ever since it exists. Always in combination with google as search engine. I have also installed this combination at several friends. Now I am faced with the fact, that my configuration is permanently overridden with the Yahoo-engine. I know how to overide this again by using the about:config file. It works for me for some time, than I am switched back to Yahoo again. I dislike the feature, that configurations are overridden by somebody elses will, because I cannot be sure, why this is: ist it by intent or is it a virus or a another malware. I have learned, that this is by intent. But not mine. Can you please advice me how to make sure that my config-file can be kept persistently in the status I have defined it.

Would be great to hear from you.

Kind regards

A customer

After the problem is fixed, Bookmark and use this; Download the Mozilla Search Reset {web link} This add-on is very simple: on installation, it backs up and then resets your search preferences and home page to their default values, and then uninstalls itself. This affects the search bar, URL bar searches, and the home page.
