I was previously using Firefox with no issues to access a secure extranet site. I just upgraded from Win 8 to Win 10 (why, oh why, did I do that?!?!) and when attempting to continue using the same extranet site I get this error:

“Your browser is executing scripts on this page. If this message persists please make sure you are visiting a correct website and Javascript is enabled in your browser, and then try again.”

To troubleshoot I have updated Java. I have updated Firefox to the latest version. I have tried adding Juniper to the "Add-ons" (no luck there) and ensured that Javascript is "enabled" (true) in the config files. The error persists.

Can you please advise what actions I need to take to get this working again?

Thanks.

Use this link to check that your plugins are up-to-date. If any are listed as unknown or research, do not worry about them.

Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open the Add-ons Manager. Hot key; <Control>(Mac:<Command>) <Shift> A)

On the left side of the page, select Plugins. Make sure the ones you want to use are set to Ask or Allow.

Go to the web page. Once the page is loading, mouse to the address bar and Left click the icon. A window for displaying site information should come up. Select More Information. Now select Permissions. In the menu, Make sure the ones you want to use are set to Ask or Allow.

This is a very strange message...

Did they forget the word "not" in this sentence?

“Your browser is executing scripts on this page."

Why would they say this:

"If this message persists please make sure you are visiting a correct website"

It just seems suspicious for a site you know well to give you such a bizarre message.

It did seem odd to me also.

Thanks for your replies however the problem persists.

I had another company extranet user log in on his computer using my information and he was able to connect, so this confirms the issue is with my local computer settings. The system was working correctly prior to upgrading to WIN 10 and aside from uploading this software, I made no other changes to the other software I use daily.

FredMcD - I carried out all of your suggestions and I believe the settings are correct (appropriately turned on or off). Your comment about Javascript - can you elaborate please?

Pretty sure malware is not the issue as I've not been anywhere to get this.

In terms of a screenshot, there is nothing to see really - the message pops up in the page header and disappears in less than a second so I can't get a shot of it. When I try to log in, the response is always the same - "You are not permitted to log in"

Any help greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

ME

If all else fails, you could try videoing it with a camera phone. But without more to go on, it's difficult to tie it to a particular setting.
