After downloading FF36.0, I get an annoying website trying to install a malicious addon that is blocked by Kaspersky. How do I stop this?

Hey pobraatz,

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

Thanks Fred for your help. I couldn't find the offending extension in my list of extensions on FF and so I deleted FF36.0 and reloaded FF35.0. This seems to be working fine and so I'm going to stay away from FF36.0 for the time being. Thanks again, Paul

Not a bad idea, a lot of users have been having problems with 36.
