hi friend! well the problem is that the os has yet to be localized it many languages including greek. The best bet is to find an app in the marketplace to add as a keyboard. works great ;)

Do you know any app that adds such keyboard? I see FFOS 1.3 is claimed to have a Bulgarian keyboard.

According to Bug 932606, a Bulgarian keyboard has been developed and added to the base build of Firefox OS.

However, it's possible that the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) did not include the keyboard in your specific device or build, or that the 2.0 build that you downloaded did not include this keyboard.

In order to better understand and investigate on the issue that you are encountering, please reply to this message with the following information:

• What is the model of your phone? (ZTE Open, LG Fireweb or Alcatel OneTouch Fire)
• What is the OS version and Build ID found in the Device Information page? Please visit this link if you need help finding the Build ID of your phone.
• Which country was the phone purchased in?
• Was the Bulgarian keyboard available in the phone with version 1.3 originally?
• Where did you find the image for installing Firefox OS 2.0?

• Was the Bulgarian keyboard available in the phone with version 1.3 originally? - I have no remote idea, sorry. The instructions asked to first flash with the latest base image from mozilla web site and then install 2.0

I hope the issue could be fixed.

I btw found a couple of other bugs already. Including a very nasty clock going out of sync for some reason when it is set to auto sync. I'm not trying with that feature turned off. I'll file them in bugzilla when I find time and have some more observations.

P.S. @hboie, I installed that keyboard, it seems to have appeared lately. It doesn't work reliably though. Long to explain, will see if I can report a bug to the project. Basically when switching languages, very often letters are not actually written to the text field. So I have to unfocus text field and focus again for typing to be possible.

Hi, It seems that, you have flashed Flame build into your Alcatel One Touch Fire :D. And it should not be happen. It might brick your phone, but you are lucky that it did not happen.

So, Need to be mentioned that, Alcatel still not release any official Firefox OS 2.0 build for One Touch Fire. So we will not recommend you to use Firefox OS 2.0.

On the other hand, if you would like to test your device with unofficial Firefox OS builds, you can download Unofficial Firefox OS Builds for Alcatel one Touch fire and flash your device. It may get you back the Bulgarian Keyboard.

If I should not flash, then a guide to flash the device should not be posted on https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Firefox_OS/Developer_phone_guide/Flame And a warning about flashing should be present there.

Anyway, if I flash with the unofficial builds, will the phone receive nightly updates like now? Can't the mozilla official base image be compiled with proper keyboard support?

Hi, Actually, the guide to flash the Device is applicable for Flame Device. You can learn more about Flame device from here. So, its not applicable for your device Alcatel One touch Fire.

Regarding the unofficial builds, If you flash the unofficial builds, I think you will not get nightly updates like now. Please be informed that, Alcatel One Touch Fire is a consumer device. If you would like to test latest nightly updates, you should buy developer Device like flame. You can order from Flame - Firefox OS Device . Regarding the compiling keyboard, Mozilla official base image has the "Bulgarian Keyboard", but as the image is not proper for your device, you may not getting the Bulgarian Keyboard. If you used the image in flame, you must got it.

Did I write fire? I'm sorry. I pasted something wrong. I have the flame device but because inside the device it reads ALCATEL onetouch, I erroneously pasted fire misreading it as flame. Excuse me again for the confusion.

So I was wondering why not getting the Bulgarian Keyboard and have inquired in my end and found that, not all the Keyboard is available in the official build of Flame . I am very much apologies for it from my end.

But, I will get back to you soon to let you know how you can get all the Keyboard including Bulgarian Keyboard. Till that time, you can use an unofficial build of Flame made by Codingfree. The build may have the Bulgarian Keyboard. Can you please try the unofficial build and let us know if it having the Bulgarian Keyboard?

This month I have very little time for fiddling with the phone unfortunately. For the time being I have phone still usable with the addon keyboard (see issues with it in my previous comments). I'll try any fixes you post or the unofficial build hopefully during one of the following weekends.
