I am receiving emails in a non-english language. I guess I must have pressed something during installation and/or startup. This is not a wish to choose a language to open web pages with it is the language with which Mozilla is attempting to communicate with me.

Hello,

To resolve your issue, you need to go to Options to access options on the top right corner the last button click on it. From there click options make sure you are in content and from there you should see Languages from there you can choose [English/United States]

Unless the e-mails are from someone you know, they were probably sent by robots. Once these robots get your e-mail, they don't stop. If your e-mail provider has a filtering option, you might be able to send everything to your Junk Folder Except for mail that you approve.

This is not my problem; the emails are from Mozilla.

I tried the previous suggestion and it looks like its going to work but at the end it pops up a screen that says "How Embarrassing". I says the problem could be caused by an open web sight or to set up a completely new session, which doesn't work either.

Ahh . . . You did not say that before. Go to where Mozilla.org does its newsletters, see about changing the language.

Or, find and use the Cancel link, and after a day or two, resubscribe.
