bold text I can't find how to write an email in Thunderbird. The new interface is WORSE that previous and IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN BAD.

It is a very bad sign that I have to find my password and log into Firefox to tell you that the email service on Thunderbird SUCKS.

Maybe if I GOOGLE looking for an answer someone will post directions how to use your product.

Running Thunderbird 115.4.3 (64-bit). I can't locate the setup and settings for my printer(s); that is, I cannot select the printer, specify single- or double-sided printing, print quality, etc. Under the Config Editor, I can see more than a dozen settings for my default HP Inkjet printer, but Thunderbird must have set all this up for me; I have no idea what most of the listings pertain to, and no other printer, like my PDF printer, show up there. I'm used to a Print Preview screen where the printer and its parameters can be set, but when I do a Ctrl+P, Thunderbird takes off and starts printing immediately on the default HP printer. Can someone give me a clue? Thanks.

Why is it that every time Thunderbird updater installs on my laptop, my taskbar link to it becomes unfindable and I have to 1 click on it so that Windows says it can't find it and would you like to remove it so I can then say yes, 2 wait until the taskbar link disappears, 3 go to my desktop icon for Thunderbird and right click to have it pin to the taskbar (AGAIN!) What does updater do to the taskbar pinned icon that it won't work until I remove, replace it, and go back to work??

Updater should NOTHING to do with any of my taskbar icons, let alone the one for Thunderbird. Tell me something I don't know.

-Every time I start Thunderbird, I see my emails from 2009 at the top instead of auto-scrolling down to the newest. -When opening a MAPI email with a recipient email, the last letter of the email address is cut off in its fancy drawn box. -The form displaying conversations should automatically expand the tree, or at least have an option for that, and auto-expand the tree on a single result. Also, the ">" sign is not prominent enough to indicate that there are more emails in the result resulting the most confusions on workplaces. It's just simply a bad design.

The new update is a disaster and almost unusable. The biggest problem I have with it is that the Message pane is now reduced to a size that is uncomfortably small. This could be ameliorated if the Message List pane could be shortened, as in previous versions. The current pane cannot be reduced to less than 8 messages in the list, previous versions allowed for far fewer.

Yes, there are several options available to change the layout, but they all have even greater issues.

PLEASE CHANGE THE MESSAGE LIST PANE FORMAT SO THAT IT CAN BE REDUCED TO DISPLAY A SMALLER NUMBER THAN 8 MESSAGES!!!

I have tried multiple suggestions from the help site. Still cannot get Thunderbird to accept settings -

Can anyone tell me how to blacklist incoming emails from selected addresses?

I can get T-bird to send unwanted emails to the "Junk" folder, but there are some that I would prefer not to even show up on my end, but rather delete them before they even get here (Facebook being the prime offender - hundreds of people I have never even heard of sending baby photos, etc.).

I contacted my ISP and was told that I needed to do this from the T-bird end. I cannot find anything in the Support section that addresses this problem. Thank you, Wolfgang

I want for my email to come in according to who it is from and the FROM option seems to be grayed out and not accessible to me. How do I change/access this option? Please advise. Thank you.

My husband has Thunderbird for his emails. I am trying to set up Thunderbird for my emails. I am not able to get past the point where you must select IMAP or POP3. System seems stuck on "checking password". I've had Microsoft outlook for a long time. I want to set up Thunderbird. We have a home based business. I need my email system up and running. I have update few weeks ago to the new version and the layout in the message body is kind of big! like the pictures that come in they are big. How do i make them smaller view? See attached picture.

How can I store an adress book on an USB stick to move it to another PC? When selcting Help - Tools - Export I get a page which exports my 6 GB profile folder. What does this folder contain? What is the difference between a Thunderbird profile and the Thundebird profile folder?

Hi, I'm trying to add a new Outlook e-mail address to Thunderbird but I keep getting the following message: "Configuration could not be verified, If your username and password are correct, it's likely that the server administrator has disabled the selected configuration for your account. Try selecting another protocol." I have tried both POP3 and IMAP but I get the same message. Any help would be appreciated.

In the new Thunderbird (why was the phantastic "old"-one being changed ?????) there is a "Import and Export Canter". I can't find it. where is it?

In the German article "News in Thunderbird Version 102" is stated that I can get a colored picture when selecting "Rich Text". I find no possibility of selecting "rich text". Where is it?

How do I find the email I click on? I search for something, I see the email in the list of results, I click on said email and instead of opening it, it bring up the ENTIRE thread that it is embedded in and I have no idea which one it is! PLEASE FIX THIS! It used to open up the email you click on within the thread. Now it just shows the thread. This latest update has RUINED the search function.

The hard drive on my PC running Windows 10 crashed and I have a new one running Windows 11. I used Thunderbird on the old PC and am trying to set up Thunderbird on the new PC. My email account is with AOL. When setting up Thunderbird on the new PC, it asks for the password. I am trying to use the AOL password but it does not work. The same password works on other devices. I have no access to the data on the old hard drive. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
