I have a 39 gig profile folder on a win7 computer and have copied it to a hard drive Trying to import to a win11 computer by importing from profile folder. Before anything moves I get an unexpected error with no explanation Don’t know if I need to try a little at a time or if that even matters

I recently reset my desk top and after that my thunderbird will not open without a password that I have not got. I need a simple way to find the password or otherwise allow me to reinstal a new download. I have tried for two days using lots of suggestions from web and help but I cant get past the request for a password

Thunderbird 15.4.2 was made available today. Since 15.4.1 reintroduced bugs from 15.0 (Hot Mess Edition first push) that had been fixed by 15.3, and I had bugzillad one, I wondered if 15.4.2 had fixed the bug they introduced in 15.4.1. I installed it and clicked on the usual place for release notes, and got an error message -- that page doesn't exist! They always put out release notes when a new version comes out. This time they didn't. Things really seem to be falling apart at MZLA.

And no, they haven't fixed the bug. Mailnews_scroll... in advanced settings still works backwards (set it to false if you want it to work).

Hi i'm trying to use 1 inbox for multiple emails but inside the inbox i want folders to act as different inboxes (i know it sounds complicated).

for example as i provided in the picture i want to use the inbox named Eurasia as the main inbox and create folders within which i will use them as receivers for the all the other emails (Carlos, Sophia, Sent).

Is this possible and if yes please if you could provide me with a step by step guide.

P.S the emails are POP3 as well as the second screen shot if from MS Outlook and it's the final result of what i want.

Hi, I'm having a problem with my email. It comes to me through my website Bradfraser.net, and is hosted by Viux. Apparently Viux went out of business a while ago and didn't tell anyone. My email stopped arriving at bradfraser@bradfraser.net two weeks ago and all attempts to rectify this have been stymied by my not having my dashboard info for the site, and I am unable to get it from Viux. (Which seems to have a bot answering questions.) Is there any way you can help me access this email account and get it running again? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can't seem to delete an old account on Thunderbird. It says it's a "special account" with no identity associated with it. Can someone help? I tried uninstalling and re-installing Thunderbird and the old account still appears.

I'm trying to set up a new protonmail account, too, and Thunderbird says it doesn't recognize the (correct) password. Is the old account causing the problem?

When I transferred my icloud email account to TB only a few of the 15 folders were transferred. Troubleshooting first with Apple, I was told to delete the account and re-create it. I did but that did not restore to lost folders. How can I get the rest of my folders to transfer?

Good day,

When moving email servers from Webmail to Zoho, I logged in to all the emails I wanted to backup/copy on my machine and made a copy of the IMAP folder. Fast forward, I want to restore/read from these legacy emails locally on Thunderbird on a different installation, and I'm finding it difficult.

I copied the folders back into the IMAP folder of the new machine but nothing happened.

I would appreciate help with this restoration.

Why is it that every time Thunderbird updater installs on my laptop, my taskbar link to it becomes unfindable and I have to 1 click on it so that Windows says it can't find it and would you like to remove it so I can then say yes, 2 wait until the taskbar link disappears, 3 go to my desktop icon for Thunderbird and right click to have it pin to the taskbar (AGAIN!) What does updater do to the taskbar pinned icon that it won't work until I remove, replace it, and go back to work??

Updater should NOTHING to do with any of my taskbar icons, let alone the one for Thunderbird. Tell me something I don't know.

I just downloaded the update (115.4.1), which has caused all kinds of problems. I can no longer automatically connect with my server, the typefaces have changed in my inbox, there are no longer 'get messages', 'reply', 'forward', 'write' buttons, etc. Can I simply remove this update? Thanks.
