I have a few questions about the storage space used by Firefox v60.00 on Android 6.0.

Here is a picture of the storage space used up by Firefox on my phone

Cache has been cleared.

Data however is using up a large amount of space (1.3GB).

uBlock origin version 1.16.6 is the only plugin/addon I have installed.

I don't have any downloads.

By comparison Chrome browser on my phone takes up less than 100MB of storage space.

Questions

What is a normal clean install size for firefox on Android ?

What is deleted if I clear the 1.3GB of Data? Will my bookmarks be deleted. Will uBlock origin be deleted (my only installed plugin).

How can I backup my bookmarks to a file?

How do I determine what is using up all this storage space in Firefox, and prevent it from happening again?

I'm making this thread since the previous one was closed and provided no real solution, yet the result shows on the very top of Google. So I like to provide helpful information to others in my answer below.

I recently upgraded my Phone and now using Android 12. I logged into my Mozilla account using my email address successfully so it seems but now my saved collections have disappeared..What's interesting is that now when I look and my profile ID it shows a different user name. What can I do to recover my account etc ? Not sure what the issue is here.

I am using Mozilla Firefox on Samsung Galaxy A5 phone (Android version 4.4.4) since 2016. I last used Firefox on my phone yesterday. Today, when I wanted to browse internet, I noticed that Mozilla Firefox app has been removed from my phone. When I visited Google Play Store, the app was unavailable in search. I just needed to reset my kindle hd 10 to factory. When I try to sign in to firefox in order to sync bookmarks, the page won't open but only spins. I was able to sync bookmarks when I bought the kindle in December. Thanks.

I have a subscription Mozilla is running on ma Apple MacBook Air. But my Phone Note 9, was hacked and I believed my passwords and other information was breached.

So I am trying to download some large files, but the server I am downloading from are extremely slow. My place doesnt have stable internet connection and during my download, almost 100% of the time, it fails. Now there is a "Try again" button that can continue downloading the file in firefox after the connection is back. When I press the button, it resumes the download from where it was, but I noticed that the files are not downloaded correctly. The file size is noticeably smaller than what it should be, and it is non-functional. My phone uses android 11 custom rom (lineage), but the same issue is also present on an older, stock anroid phone I have. This issue has been present for at least half a year and I dont know a solution. Can anyone suggest a solution?

Can't move Collections from my old phone to my new phone I have pressed sync BTW it still doesn't appear on the new phone. The photo is the two Collections containing 100 web addresses each on my old phone.
