Windows 10. Weird glitch.

If I use Wondershare UniConverter's downloader function to download a video, as soon as the download starts, all Firefox open windows close. This is a recent thing, the last couple of weeks or so. I have reinstalled Firefox and UniConverter. The first time I tried it after reinstalling UniConverter, all was well. But the same issue has shown up again. I have tried rebooting my PC to no effect.

Any bright ideas welcome!

I used to have no problem opening messages.google.com/web/conversations to link my messages to my Pixel phone. Just recently the site will not open in Firefox. Not an error message, it just won't open the page.

This has been happening for months now, on multiple devices (I have tried at least 3 different devices), and on multiple networks.

I have read the articles in here, but they just want me to check network configuration which is exactly the same for all browsers.

If I restart firefox it starts working again.

How can I prevent it from breaking randomly? This is the only browser having issues, I'm almost positive is some bug and not a configuration thing, given that it happens under multiple circumstances and devices, while Edge and Chrome simply keep working just fine.

There is no consistent repro I can give, afaik it is just random, at some point Firefox just decides to stop working and I have to restart it. This disrupts my work and browsing activities as I can lose progress on input forms and similar actions.

After just turning on my computer running Windows 10, I opened Firefox. I open 1 web site and noticed my computer showed a (16) prefix when loading Firefox. I opened the Task Manager and it showed that there were 15 instances of "firefox" running in the background. All showed a UAC Virtulization of "Disabled". But they also showed using 638.8MB of memory. I do not know whether these are necessary files that must run in the background or if the number of files indicates that my system has been hacked and someone else is in my system from outside. Any suggestions as to validity of these files running or how I might confirm that they should be running. I have noticed the number of excessive background files before but the number is never consistent which makes me fear I may have been hacked.

Well, since I changed to a new computer with Win 11, videos on Facebook don't play right. They are videos that are posted by various people and real entities. They are not smooth. They start to play and immediately pause then jump forward then pause and jump forward. If I copy the link and go to Chrome, paste the link and play the videos, they are normal Never did that on my old computer. Any ideas why the videos don't play normal?

Why you create Mozilla account with sync, if I can't use profile which I saved on my old PC. I change my PC and now I can't use my open tabs as needed, I need to open each tab one by one. Why ??? Why I can't use saved profile on my new PC ??????

We have an application where we do not want to share the session cookies between tabs. Is this possible? If above answer is yes, next we would like to filter out some cookies by name that should not be shared across tabs. Meaning, we want some cookies that can be shared across tabs and some should not be shared.

Szukałam takiego czegoś w ustawieniach i firefox support, ale nie znalazłam nic co by pomogło w wyłączeniu blokady reklam. Czy mógłby mi ktoś pomóc i pokierować jak mogłabym wyłączyć blokadę reklam? On the page listing passwords, it was possible to sort them by "Alerts".

In settings, there is an option to enable checking the vulnerable passwords: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-password-manager-alerts-breached-websites

On my other laptop using Firefox v121, the alerts are properly displayed. But on my second laptop using Firefox v124, the alerts are gone. I can't sort password by "Alerts", the option isn't there. Both laptops share the same Firefox account and have password synchronized between each other.

Obviously, I ticked the "Show alerts about passwords for breached websites" box in the settings but it looks like it does not nothing. I also checked in "about:config" and everything seems good.

Is this feature gone?

Hi, I have been using firefox for many years and never showed me an UAC popup requiring permissions to update firefox as soon as i clicked the firefox icon in the taskbar. Today suddenly required it. I am administrator in windows 10, and have automatic updates enabled as always. I am using 125.0.3 (64-bit) version. This could be a bug or a virus? i am worried that could have given permission to a virus to install something else when i pressed the firefox icon.

I recently got a new computer. Installed firefox onto it. Brought over my profile with all my data and bookmarks. But for the life of me, the page would just sporadically flicker. I tried messing with the settings; performance settings; hardware acceleration. I tried refreshing firefox. But nothing.

How do I get Firefox browser to stop from loading automatically upon booting up or restarting?? This has been happening since the last browser update. I checked the Firefox controls but could not find a button to toggle this off. Please advise. Thank you.
