When printing a pdf from the built-in pdf viewer (pdf.js?) to a network printer, it's so slow as to be unusable. Save the same pdf and open it it in Xreader, click print, and it starts printing immediately. Size of the document seems to play a role; I knew it was slow from trying to print smaller documents in the past, but today I needed a hard copy of a 68MB pdf, and hours later, it still had not printed.

I'm running latest Linux Mint Debian Edition 4 Debbie and latest Firefox in its repositories, 78.11.0esr (64-bit). Printer is Canon imageRunner 2200, it doesn't have any other slow printing problems, as I stated above.

Problem seems to have existed for a long time...

Recently, I've been unable to view paid for video, for example on Netflix. I get the following error message:

The WidevineCdm Plugin has crashed. FATAL Clpp-Error [Category 6 - Code 6002]: {"browserError":""}

I'm using a macOS 10.95 and, says Firefox,:

"Note: The current version of Google Widevine is no longer compatible with older macOS versions such as OS X 10.9 and 10.10. Only macOS versions 10.11 and above are supported."

So my question, since it seems my mac is no longer compatible with Widevine, is whether there a way for me to watch video on Firefox? Perhaps with another plugin? Or no plugin? Perhaps this is an issue to take up with Widevine?

I haven't installed any new Add-ons for over a year but suddenly today the Telegraph.co.uk website is only displaying images. I disabled all Add-ons, re started FF but that hasn't fixed it. Safari is okay though. Mac 10.11.6 and FF 78.10.1esr Thanks for any tips, can't do without a proper newspaper. Kryters.

When I download a file with multiple spaces in the name, like 'test space.txt' (there are 2 spaces between test and space), FF condenses the extra space into one, like 'test space.txt' (there is only 1 space between test and space). This happens on multiple websites and does not occur in other browsers.

Hi: Can anyone help me to recover BOOKMARKS which I've found missing after today's starting my Firefox Browser/Thunderbird and trying to use one of the BOOKMARKS: this is for the first time I've lost them just by opening the Program after I've about 3 weeks ago Upgraded my Windows 7 to Version 10 - under Windows 7 they were working properly without any 'accidental loss'. Question: - is it possible to use the Bookmarks-Back Up file to re-install them - IF NOT, what is the other way to reliably re-install them ...? My PC-system is: Windows 10 Home, Ver 10.0.19042 (20H2), CPU; Intel Pentium D 935 3.20Ghz (dual core), x64-based processor, 32-bit. I'd greatly appreciate any SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS how to accomplish this. Tony H.

Ive disabled video mp4 downloads by clicking links through a software but this can be overriden by dragging the mp4 download link to the download icon in the overflow menu.

So I want to disable drag and drop somehow, or any method to disable dragging links to the download icon for download.

Hello! I work on a Mac and have constant problems with buffering and screen freezing. I have refreshed the browser twice as suggested.

Each time I log on or move to another page that colorful basketball appears for quite awhile. When I can finally move to the desired page, it freezes and that basketball appears again.

Help? I work from home and need to use this computer.

I have a problem that I have already found threads that list both the issue and the fix, but they are pretty ludicrous.

If you care about privacy and security and enable the about:config privacy.resistFingerprinting option, Firefox then refuses to remember window size and position between startups.

So rather than block Firefoxes SENDING of window position during fingerprinting attempts, they just turn off the ability for it to store window size and positions entirely. This is idiotic and almost seems to be malicious to the point of trying to aggravate users into not taking their privacy seriously. It is either malicious in an attempt to aggravate you into not worrying about your privacy or lazy programming, one of the two.

Should this be reported as a bug or what even though it seems to be functioning as intended, however idiotic that may be.

When features are blocked for privacy sake, the features and functionality themselves should never be disabled. Only refusing to send the data back out when fingerprint requests happen.

My profile picture isn't uploading correctly, and it appears as some weird purple/blue lines depending on the file type. Why does this happen and how do I fix it? :(

I created a secondary email in my Firefox account and then generated a recovery key. Then I decided to use a different email as my secondary. After that I tried to update the recovery key (assuming the first key is linked to the first submitted secondary email) but FF said there was already a recovery key established. So, if I ever need to enact the recovery key, will firefox accept the initial key from the latter secondary email?

TRYING AGAIN MANY TIMES SAME ERROR. NEVER seen a ridiculous error such as this ANY OTHER SITE like here! WHAT IS GOING ON?

WHAT is with the new update that RUINED the browser with crazy unneeded UI CHANGES?? DO NOT NEED flashing tab light EVERY SINGLE PAGE LOAD and even waterfox has CRAPPY DESIGN with BAD DEFAULT SCROLLING. HOW TO FIX THIS NON-SENSE??

Firefox already has features for blocking autoplay. I use all of those.

But, some websites still manage to autoplay! Is there a way to stop those devious websites? Examples include Yahoo Finance and ESPN.

I already have Autoplay set to "Block Audio and Video" in the Permissions section of Settings. I have also gone into about:config and set the following:

media.autoplay.allow-extension-background-pages false media.autoplay.block-event.enabled true media.autoplay.block-webaudio true media.autoplay.default 5

Is there anything else I can do?

Also, does anyone know *why* firefox is allowing these videos to play?

I've had an ongoing problem that I've been ignoring, but today it was hard to ignore. I hope someone can help me.

Some webpages load with code where the buttons should be. I've included a screen shot.

I'm running FF 78.11 on a 2011 MacBook Pro with OSX 10.12.

Steps I've taken to try and fix the problem: - emptied the cache - turned off all privacy extensions independent of one another: ADP, Privacy Badger, Ghostery, Enhanced Tracking Protection and AdGuard - restarted with adons disabled

These steps didn't work.

The pages load with no problems on Chrome and Ghostery Dawn.

What is the problem here, and what can I do to fix it?

Folks frequently bemoan that Firefox doesn't have the same Ctrl+Shift+T keyboard shortcut to Restore Previous Sessions that Chromium has (heck, I'm one of them), but I noticed that Ctrl+Shift+N will restore Previously Closed Windows. From a backend perspective, is there a functional difference between these two options? Does using the Restore Previous Sessions button in the History panel behave differently in regards to, I don't know, cookies or something? I'm a little hazy on what a "session" is and why it's important.

WATERFOX missing tons of theme features but at least it does not have the AWFUL GARBAGE THAT NEEDS A DISABLE OPTION for firefox when new table flashes blue LOADING EVERY TIME WHICH IS FREAKING RIDICULOUS! am seeing an issue in firefox on unix with accessing a web page which uses basic http authentication mechanism. It pops up for user id and password for basic authentication. When I enter the credentials and click submit the response received is 401 Unauthorized. Same webpage and authentication works in chrome browser on same system (so assuming no firewall issues). The Firefox and chrome is configured in a console where we test it. And both are requesting for the same host. I believe there is some configurations issue in Mozilla firefox that might be affecting it. Attaching the request and response for both.

When downloading a file, I use to get a pop-up box that asked me if i wanted to open it or save it, and there was a box that said "don't ask me this again. I accidentally checked that box. Now every time I click on a file it asks me where I want to save it but it won't let me open it to view it first. How do get it back to the way it was?

I have tried changing my download options, I've tried re-setting the browser options. Nothing works. There has to be a way to get back to where is asks "where would you like to save" AND gives me the option to click a radial button to Open the file and view it before saving it.
