Every time I open a new tab, another extra tab opens automatically with the following address: https://0.0.0.1/

showing this message: An error occurred during a connection to 0.0.0.1.

I already re-installed Firefox but this bug keems popping up.

BTW: I did not do a d*** thing. It just started yesterday and is extremely annoying!

Had to replace FF with Chrome in order to play DRM content on my W11 laptop. I get message saying you are downloading remedy, but nothing ever changes. Would prefer to continue 15+ year relationship with FF, but seems like youre abandoning capabilities for DRM video content?

Firefox decided to remove the total amount of homepage shortcuts. For months, it allowed for 4 rows and 8 columns, with blank "Add Shortcut" shortcuts. This allowed me to organize or split my shortcuts better. This morning, it decided to move all shortcuts together. As per the "Before" and "After" screenshots attached.

Usual disclaimers: Firefox 125.0.1 (64-bit) on Windows 10 No Config edits No extensions currently installed manipulate, affect or otherwise influence shortcuts

Please advise.

With the update to 115.10.0esr my bookmarks that were on the left hand side of the screen are gone. When I look at bookmarks there are a few, but I had multiple folders for different subjects, I do not find. I would like to have the procedure to return my bookmarks back to the left hand side of the screen with all of my bookmarks, bookmark folders, and other bookmarks like it was prior to the update. The comment windows are present but do not function. The youtube hosts are accepting comments from other folks. I wonder if some Firefox settings need adjustment so I can participate. If you reply I hope it goes straight to my email address as I nmay not find this site easily/again.

So Mozilla supports privacy rights- and I've supported Mozilla for that reason- but they want Whatsapp to be censored for "misinformation" ? How does that go together? Whatsapp was supposed to be encrypted and not even Whatsapp was supposed to know the content of messages. How would they know about misinformation? And how do they get to decide what's misinformation now?

I am trying to use a <select> tag to display a color selector. So each <option> has a background color to match its displayed text:

On Chrome this displays as expected:

But on Firefox the background colors are ignored:

How can I get Firefox to display the background colors?

When searching with google it always opens a new Tab with some not working Address. Whether i just search or click on pictures or look at a picture more in detail it always opens this tab: Look at picture: At this point it is really annoying and in the settings of the browser i don't seem to find a solution. Please help.

Since the 2 APR 2024 FF update, Washington Post articles are not displaying fully. When opened, the article flashes the full version, then only displays the top photo and the first two paragraphs. When opened in EDGE, all articles open fully as expected. This issue is only occurring in FF.

Actions taken: Cleared cache, same result.

Please advise.

Once updated Firefox all old tabs didn't open ( and it was not possible to restore them anymore). So I'd like to restore all old tabs of yesterday session. Really important for my work. Looking forward to hearing from you asap. Regards, Orlando.

Hi I am a longtime user of your browser. I have version 124.0.2(64 bit) installed on three devices. First thing I do on opening it is to click on "about", which normally updates the browser, before I do any browsing. In the last three weeks, however, it has not updated on any of the three devices, rather, it says "Failed to check for updates". I have tried the workarounds suggested at your Help center, and nothing has worked. What gives, may I ask? Thank you

After just turning on my computer running Windows 10, I opened Firefox. I open 1 web site and noticed my computer showed a (16) prefix when loading Firefox. I opened the Task Manager and it showed that there were 15 instances of "firefox" running in the background. All showed a UAC Virtulization of "Disabled". But they also showed using 638.8MB of memory. I do not know whether these are necessary files that must run in the background or if the number of files indicates that my system has been hacked and someone else is in my system from outside. Any suggestions as to validity of these files running or how I might confirm that they should be running. I have noticed the number of excessive background files before but the number is never consistent which makes me fear I may have been hacked.

something apparently got corrupted in firefox.. i tried running update and i keep getting failed to update.. i have refreshed.. i have uninstalled and reinstalled ...nothing. i am sure there is a folder or file somewhere that is corrupted and i cannnot find it. because even when i uninstall and reinstall fresh. all my bookmarks are there .. how to i start a TRUE NEW install??
