When I start Firefox it appears in a small window and it takes several tries to maximize it. In the past I right clicked on the Icon and I had a choice of setting the window to open in Maximum, this doesn't seem available now. How do I get the window to open in maximum on startup?

Hello! I installed Firefox about a year ago, and for the entire duration it seems about 60% of the time the default fonts on various websites look weird (bold?). I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling Firefox, clearing the cache, etc. See attached images for examples. Help!

Hi need to get my old firefox back before installation of new version.

I have a subscription that allows for downloading of videos using a "DOWNLOAD" button that has disappeared after new version of firefox was loaded. also my antivirus application has disappeared. How do i put everything back the way it was. I'm using windows 10.

It was working fine and now the past few days I can no longer login to my Fastmail.com account other than from my Windows 7 pc

I am trying to email a link from chatgpt to my yahoo email account. When I try to open the link I receive the error 500 internal server message. I have emailed links from chatgpt many times before with no problem. Can you advise.

Why do I need a new profile every single little update? How can I get my saved session, bookmarks, history, open tabs, extensions and preferences from my old profile? Manually copying files from the old profile is not a solution - it's a workaround and not a great one. Lots of things get left behind. Alternatively: what file in my "old" profile do I need to manipulate to trick Firefox into using it with the new version?

When I open Firefox, it is only a quarter of the browser in the right-upper quarter of the screen. How can I make it so the browser opens fully in the entire screen.

The Lower Toolbar is quite handy, with for example Roboform.

Unfortunately, the way it's implemented, it comes above the lower part of the browser window, instead of being inserted at the bottom while the browser windows height is reduced.

That hides the search box when you type Control-F.

It would be nice if this could be addressed in a future release. I am using Firefox Developer 127.0b2.

I was looking for an item that would be a couple of years back in my history, only to discover that my history now only goes back a year and 3 months… Exactly, as of today, I don't know if that's meaningful. Does anyone have any idea what might've happened, and how I can restore the rest of my history? Thank you!

I'm on a Mac using Mojave, with Firefox version 115.8.

Hello, I have a very weak internet connection and I've been experimenting with ways to lessen the burden of the slow connection by increasing the time that the cache from websites can stay on my computer (I've already increased browser.cache.disk.capacity and set browser.cache.check_doc_frequency to 2, but the files still end up expiring eventually forcing them to be re-downloaded even though I know these cache files never change).

So far I've had some success with this extension (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/cache-longer/) it definitely works but very inconsistently so I've tried to directly edit the cache files found in Profiles\someprofile.default-release\cache2\entries but every time I edit the max-age on the cache-control line or any other line firefox just erases the cache file completely then re-downloads it.

TL;DR - Is there someway of getting firefox to ignore the cache file expiry dates and cache-control age or at least editing these files to extend their life?

Typing "handshake.com" in the toolbar takes me to "https://www.shopify.com/blog/wholesale-suppliers#" instead of searching or going to handshake.com .....WTAF?! Consistently.

Also, why is it so hard to report the issue? I know Mozilla is a nonprofit, but there was literally no way at all to just report the problem? All I can do is message a volunteer? Feels broken. Thank you.

I have installed the German language extension. I can go to a site written in German and it translates fine. THE SECOND I USE ANY SUB MENU WITHIN THE SITE, IT DOES NOT TRANSLATE. Right clicking and choosing "Translate" does not work since "translate" does not exist on the tab.

The Firefox translate feature only works on the initial screen!

I use passkey verification for a website. In other browsers, I can get a QR code to scan with my phone to login. In Firefox, I only get a popup saying Touch your security key to continue with <site> (image attached). In Chromium, I have options for both (image attached). Is this possible in Firefox?

I used CCleaner this morning to scan and clean up my computer. (I did it over the weekend as well and it didn't affect my Firefox). Now I can't even open Firefox. the icon on my windows taskbar is gone as well. I tried to uninstall and then reinstall Firefox, but that didn't work. I also tried to "refresh" Firefox (or whatever it is called that is recommended when trying to uninstall).

Please help. I really need my Firefox to work!

For some reason the developer tool on Firefox is just completely blank when I open it. Nothing will load and I can't even close out of it. Any ideas on how to fix this?

We are receiving the following error when we change the security.OCSP.enabled to "1" and security.OCSP.require to "true":

(Invalid OCSP signing certificate in OCSP response(Error code: sec_error_ocsp_invalid_signing_cert)

We are in an airgapped environment and have our own OCSP responder we are attempting to get Firefox to work with. What configuration does Firefox need in order to solve this error?
