Hi,

I had to reset my computer.

I had Firefox sync on it and in the past all I’ve had to do is login and it restores history bookmarks and setting when I install it on a new or reset device

It’s not doing it this time, any advice?

Is there a way in Firefox to have quicker access to saved logins than through the menu structure? The menus are four layers deep, which is frustrating as it is difficult to remember the route when only using the feature occasionally. Some websites don't respect the Firefox Password Manager, so it sometimes becomes necessary to manually find the credentials.

Is there any way to create a bookmark to the saved login section?

Is there perhaps an add-on?

After a reinstallation of FIREFOX, it failed to login to sync with Firefox. My account and password input are correct. And I can login to my accout with Chrome (https://accounts.firefox.com/).

My system disk failed, so I had to restore it from pretty old backup, with old Firefox version installed and old profile data. Now I want to start Firefox and reopen all my recent tabs from Firefox Sync, but not from my local (old) profile. How should I proceed?

Hi, Some files, say PNG files, always download immediately. Other files ask where to be saved. In my settings, I only have about 4-6 entries, but PNG for example is not there. I deleted the handlers file and restarted. Same issue. The only thing I can think of is the fact that I'm using an account which syncs across 2-3 devices. How can I fix this issue?

Hello, I was reinstalling my OS, and I didn't create recovery code for my data to retrieve it after (which I found out after reinstalling my OS) on my Mozilla Firefox account, I had a lot of passwords, bookmarks and data that I need to recover, also for my full time job a lot of valuable data which I have lost now. I couldn't find any email address so I can address my concern directly, It's why I am posting here. Please help, I am so lost now. Hi. I know my firefox account email: [email]@gmail.com and firefox account password: won't type it here, but i know it and have entered it successfully.

After i sign in, with the correct email and password, it states i need to access the verification code and enter it to use my firefox account. the problem is that i just reinstalled windows and the gmail password was autogenerated and stored within my firefox account. so in order for me to access my gmail to retrieve the verification code i need to access the passwords stored on my firefox account.

I have a number of autogenerated passwords related to my college assessments that are time sensitive. I need help with this urgently!

i have re-install new windows and download fresh firefox and sign-in when i sync my account i didn't find any data (passwords , bookmarks , history , etc ... ) i found my firefox account as new

Hello I changed my laptop. I synced everything with my passed laptop. I reconnect today with my new laptop. ... I have no data, no more bookmarks, nothing ! How could it be possible ? Thx

the other day my Samsung Galaxy S21+ died on me so I was forced to re-startup my old Galaxy S10+.. and I tried to sync the my new data on my Desktop and Firefox cloud to my phone...

BUT! it synced my old data a year old data from my phone to my desktop... destroying all my changes over the past year.. THANK YOU BACKUPS! saved the day... Firefox account need the ability to clear the stored Firefox data in the cloud to prevent this from happening again.. and I found similar questions that pointed to deleting my whole account and starting fresh.. THAT IS AN INSANE IDEA... no thx.. I have too much to lose...

Following direction on Help Page - Trying to sync tabs, bookmarks etc from one laptop to another. In settings, devices are said to be logged in and sync set to sync pretty much everything. Clicking the menu top right - only shows my email @ the top, then New Tab etc - but nothing about "Sync Now" or "Sign In" What am I missing? TIA, Jean

Yesterday I got signed out of my Firefox Sync and when I tried logging in, I realized I don't have Firefox in my authenticator app any longer. I have found Firefox recovery codes, which were issued in 2019 when I enabled 2FA, however when I try using them I get "Recovery code not found."

Can these recovery codes be used to prove my account ownership, even if I somehow generated new codes after 2019 but didn't save them (which I doubt, but it's not impossible) ?

I am not logged in on any other device so I cannot disable the 2FA that way. Is there any hope?

Hi - I'm signed into firefox sync on two different computers, both running Ubuntu 20.04. I can tell that they're connected to the same account because I can see the other computer in the list for "Send tab to device".

However, the bookmarks aren't syncing - one computer has the full set, the other (newly set up) computer still has the default bookmarks.

When I check `about:sync-log`, I see these lines:

That is, it seems to think that bookmark syncing is disabled - however, I have bookmark syncing enabled, as you can see in the attached screenshot.

I know there's [[an article|https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/sync-custom-preferences#w_sync-custom-preferences]] on how to sync custom preferences. I wanted to sync my toolbar customizations and some other preferences like disabling disk caching. And I don't even have other firefox instances, instead I just want to sync only on one device, so that I can continue the same setup when I signin later on the same device.

I've tried to add services.sync.prefs.sync.browser.uiCustomization.state, "services.sync.prefs.sync.browser.cache.disk.enable" and set it to true. But it doesn't work. What am I missing? No one seems to address this. May I am missing something.

I imported logins into my Firefox account from MS Edge. I enabled Sync. When I signed in on a new device with my Firefox account, there are only two logins showing up. It looks like the logins that were imported are not syncing.

I have already forced a sync using "Sync Now" in the profile menu on both devices. It has been about 10 minutes with no additional logins being synced yet.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you!
